Redress is an environmental NGO working to reduce waste in the fashion industry. We work to do this in three ways:

Redress was established in 2007 in Hong Kong and is a Hong Kong registered charity under S88 of the Inland Revenue.

We want to inspire the next generation of designers to redesign the future of fashion. Through our The EcoChic Design Award, the world’s largest sustainable design competition, we educate emerging designers to reduce and reuse textile waste. We organise educational workshops, lectures, fashion shows, design challenges and exhibitions and we collaborate with academic institutions to deliver education to their students. See more here.
We want to inspire fashion consumers to take an active role in reducing the environmental impacts of their clothes. Through our consumer programmes we educate, inspire and enable people to make better choices around how they buy, wear, care and dispose of their clothing. We organise campaigns, workshops, clothing drives, pop-up shops and exhibitions to drive positive behaviour change. We also collaborate with brands to drive more sustainable fashion options for consumers. See more here.
We want to create a platform for industry collaboration to create a more sustainable future for fashion. Through our industry engagement programmes, we collaborate across the entire fashion supply chain to catalyse positive change. We work with designers, textile and garment manufacturers, retailers, schools and universities, governments, NGOs and media organisations on seminars, workshops, research, retail collaborations and through our recycled textile standard.
