The Redressed: Celebrity sustainable fashion workshop was a lively public workshop fronted by celebrity Carrie Lam and the EcoChic Design Award Hong Kong 2011 Winner, Janko Lam, that took place at E-max shopping mall on 30th September.

With Carrie by her side, designer Janko worked her magic and reconstructed clothing several of celebrity Carrie Lam’s pre-worn and pre-loved clothing into ‘new’ pieces to a live audience. The fashionable results were as much a statement about sustainability as they were about style…

We loved this because we were able to combine four potent ingredients – a celebrity, a designer, the public and the media – to create a fun yet meaningful message about textile waste reduction.
