ABOUT
EcoChic Geneva featured 52 prominent fashion designers from 40 countries who united on the catwalk on the 21 January 2010 at the Palais des Nations, home of the United Nations Office in Geneva. This groundbreaking fashion show celebrated the positive impact that fashion can have on biodiversity conservation and was co-organised by the United Nations Conference of Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
The inspiring garments on the runway revealed a variety of biodiversity-conserving materials, such as hemp, bamboo, alpaca, soya, organic cotton, organic silk and African blackwood.
The fashion show was held alongside our Redefining Sustainability in the International Agenda Seminar and our EcoChic Geneva Sustainable Design Exhibition.
This show was art directed by Holly Suan Gray.
