ABOUT
The 3% Mountain was a six metre high installation of creatively displayed secondhand clothes that represented just 3% of the average textile waste going into Hong Kong’s landfills on a daily basis. We exhibited this impressive mountain in June, 2011 at Hong Kong’s iconic Star Ferry.
The 3% Mountain put the scale of Hong Kong’s textile waste into perspective and proved to be a highly impactful community awareness project that, with the avid support of many celebrities, resulted in widespread media coverage and discussion on clothing waste.
We launched The 3% Mountain to expectant guests attending our Forever Better with Miele fashion show.
