Our annual consumer campaign, Get Redressed Month, is back this October! We are pleased to welcome actor Alex Lam, and influencers Ellie Furaya and Minnie Wong, who are joining our campaign to engage the public to reduce their clothing waste!
Until mid September, companies, clubs and schools can sign up to take part in the Get Redressed Clothing Drive and other campaign-related activities, including the Get Redressed Sort-a-thon – our large-scale volunteer sorting event.
Why Get Redressed Month?
We’re buying more clothes, wearing them less often and throwing them in the bin faster. From wasting precious resources to contributing to global greenhouse gas emissions, our poor choices continue to have a detrimental effect on our planet. At Redress we are dedicated to challenging this status quo and four years ago we launched our annual Get Redressed Month campaign. Through education and online engagement Get Redressed Month aims to reduce clothing waste, discourage overconsumption, and celebrate secondhand fashion.
Who can sign up?
You don’t have to be in a particular industry, or even be a large organisation to participate. We welcome everyone to join us in our mission to help people make better choices about how they buy, consume and dispose of their clothes.
Presently, we are taking sign ups from all companies, clubs and schools. If you are an individual who wants to take part, please look out for further updates in our newsletter and on the website in late September.
