Congratulations are in order for Eric Wong on winning this year's Alumni Prize! In collaboration with our partner Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong, he took on the challenge of reimagining their used airbag waste fabric into two upcycled showpieces.

The public will have the opportunity to interact with the upcycled designs, which will be exhibited at the Innovation Hub of Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong’s BAM Festival. Visitors will be able to step inside these sculptural pieces, become enveloped in the airbag material, and have the chance to be photographed as if they are wearing the garments.

On 15 October from 1:30–1:50pm, Eric and Redress’ Alumni Network Manager, Lois Wong, will be doing a live sharing about the upcycling exhibition at the Innovation Hub. In addition to this showcase from Redress, the BAM Festival will feature a range of activities including a first-hand preview of the latest Mercedes-Benz models.
