Join Wear Secondhand Day this October!
Wear Secondhand Day 2023 is a chance to discover and participate in the positive power of fashion.
In Hong Kong, we landfill an estimated 202 tonnes of clothing daily — many of which could be reused, resold or repurposed.
Brought to you by Redress, Wear Secondhand Day invites companies, organisations, schools, and the public to take one simple action to help raise awareness of the alarming fashion waste crisis by wearing clothes that are “as good as new”!
COMPANIES / CLUBS / NGOS
Wear Secondhand Day is a great opportunity to engage your teams in a fun and easy awareness-raising activity:
Pick one day in October as your company’s Wear Secondhand Day
Go to work wearing secondhand clothing on that day!
Staff members are encouraged to donate HKD50 to Redress
Companies are recommended to match employee contributions or make a minimum company donation of HKD700
Plus, enjoy chances to win sustainable fashion prizes for your team by sharing photos from your Wear Secondhand Day!
Redress will provide participating companies with an easy-to-share educational factsheet and a poster for internal promotion
