October has arrived and the fourth annual Get Redressed Month campaign is live!
Give Clothes A New Life
Sort out your wardrobes this October and give your unwanted clothes to Redress at over 70 public collection points - we’ll find them a new home so they can have a new life.
This year’s collection partners include: Aigle, Geox, Hysan Place, MOS Centre, OnTheList, PizzaExpress, Redbox Storage, Retykle, Swire Properties, The Hula, The Mills, The Wild Lot and TKO Plaza. Find all our drop off locations here.
All clothes donated to Redress will be carefully sorted at our Sort-a-thon volunteering event in November, and then redistributed for:
RESALE by Redress.
REUSE by a network of over 20 local charities and their beneficiaries.
RECYCLING/DOWNCYCLING for the small percentage that are not suitable for reuse.
Volunteers Call Out
We will be looking for volunteers to help the Redress team run the sort-a-thon event which will take place at Oxford House, Taikoo Place between Thursday 4th and Saturday 6th November. If you’d like to volunteer at the Sort-a-thon alongside the Redress team, please email nastasia@redress.com.hk.
Give Secondhand A Try!
This October we’re encouraging all Hong Kongers to give secondhand a try. Wearing secondhand clothes is one of the best ways to make your wardrobe greener. It’s not only more sustainable, it’s fashionable, lots of fun and easy on the wallet too. Take a look at our new Secondhand Clothing Directory that lists locations and details about many of Hong Kong’s secondhand clothing stores.
We have also recently launched a brand new secondhand shop in Sham Shui Po called The Redress Closet. Our small shop and other stores like it, are proof that shopping secondhand can be stylish while being better for the planet and your wallet. We sell the most fashionable clothing at affordable prices for men and women, whilst raising funds for Redress’ year-round educational work as an environmental charity.
