Redress has collected and sorted almost 100 tonnes of unwanted clothing to date, recirculating it for re-use, resale and recycling. Our team carefully weighs every box of clothing to ensure a transparent process, with each box weighing up to 50kg.
The quantity of clothing we collect is growing and we’re asking for your help to fund essential equipment - to ramp up efficiency and output to make our sorting process smoother and kinder to the team (and their backs) as the demand for our work to keep clothing out of landfill grows.
We need HK$13,000 to fund a roll-on scale and ramp to make our sorting processes safer and more efficient - can you help us out? We only need 100 donations of HK$130 to hit our target!
With the new scale - our team members would cut weighing and recording by 1 hour every session - which equates to the man hours needed to sort 2.6 tonnes extra per year - please help us achieve our funding target!
