Congratulations to Nils Hauser for winning the 2023 Redress Design Award! The designer from Germany wins the career-changing chance to work on a sustainable design collaboration out of VF Corporation’s Tokyo Design Collective with the Timberland® design team for the brand’s Spring 2025 apparel collection.
“Collaborating with a world-leading brand like Timberland® and bringing my sustainable fashion ideas into the mainstream and large-scale fashion market whilst working with Timberland®’s expert team is a designer’s dream,” shares Nils. “Designers have solutions, and we know that by working together we can make change.”
Following their runway showcase, the Finalists’ sustainable collections will also be exhibited to the public at The Mills in Hong Kong from 17–27 September.
Nils and the other Finalists of the competition, including runner-up Ruwanthi Gajadeera from Sri Lanka and Hong Kong Best Prize winner Mandy Fong, now join the Redress Design Award Alumni Network, which offers ongoing career guidance, connections, and opportunities in sustainable fashion to over 300 Alumni designers around the world.
