Well done to all who contributed to the success of Get Redressed Month! From our amazing partners, to our very own Redress team and to YOU, our community of supporters, this campaign wouldn’t have been possible without all of you.
This May, we were able to place nearly 200 collection boxes all over Hong Kong for the Get Redressed Clothing Drive, the city’s largest annual clothing collection initiative. From there, we sifted through a mountain of clothing weighing 16 tonnes, equivalent to 32 grand pianos, at the three-day Sort-a-thon, with the help of over 420 corporate participants and volunteers.
During the month, Redress also promoted loving clothes longer through a public awareness campaign in the MTR, with billboards featuring a diversity of Hong Kong individuals wearing their most treasured items of clothing. The stunning photographs, alongside their heartwarming stories, were also featured in our first-ever photo exhibition at Ztoryhome — and if you missed it, you can still see them as part of our pop-up+ event this week.
In addition, we worked with primary and secondary schools across the city to host educational activities, including 16 talks delivered. Our efforts engaged nearly 4,000 teachers and students, inspiring the next generation towards sustainable fashion habits.
We’re grateful to all our partners who help make this campaign possible. Thank you in particular to our official campaign sponsors Swire Properties Limited, Bolloré Logistics, KPMG, Crystal International Group Limited, Carbon Wallet, and Ztoryhome. Thank you also to our Sort-a-thon partners for energising the room with their services: GreenPrice for refreshments, Aesop for gifts, and Pure Fitness for wellness.
