Redress Design Award Collection

Cristian’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘Brutalist by Selva Huygens’, draws inspiration from the raw, cold lines and direct shapes of brutalist architecture. The collection features minimalist yet bold designs upcycled from discarded materials, including recycled fabrics made from car battery separators, and scrap car parts, clothing, and shoes found on the streets of Berlin. One outfit bends a car front bumper to create wings, while another uses car part armour melted with a heat gun and shaped using stainless steel carabiners and hooks. Monochrome, neutral tones and strong geometric silhouettes offer timeless designs to encourage longevity.
