Redress are thrilled to celebrating five years of partnership with PizzaExpress, with donations raised through the sale of the delicious Quattro formaggi pizza continuing to provide critical funding for the development of our programmes, which work to improve the environmental footprint of fashion.
Food and fashion share similar challenges from the sourcing of raw materials (ingredients), to packaging and waste, and PizzaExpress are as passionate as us about promoting Sustainable lifestyles. As well as supporting multiple charities, every Monday at PizzaExpress is ‘Green Monday’, with discounts on vegetarian meals to encourage the reduction of CO2 heavy meat consumption. They have also switched to biodegradable materials for straws and take-away packaging, with straws only available on request.
Over the last 5 years we have co-hosted DIY workshops to drive customisation and creativity with consumers to keep their clothes in action for longer; PizzaExpress have directly sponsored five cycles of the Redress Design Award supporting emerging design talent from across the world; and we have recently, as part of the PizzaExpress Food For Thought campaign launched a new ongoing collaboration to collect unwanted clothing from diners.
Further to the pizza donation, PizzaExpress have also supported multiple events and hosted three secondhand pop-up shops to engage the broader Hong Kong community in the value of clothing waste, and helping us to raise thousands more dollars in funding through clothing sales.
Drop off your clothing donations at PizzaExpress Sai Yin Pun and enjoy a complimentary salad as part of your meal!
