Redress is pleased to announce the launch of our latest guide, “Closed Loop Solutions for Hong Kong’s Non-Wearable Clothing Waste”, with the support of The VF Foundation.
This guide outlines the material recovery potential and recycling pathways for non-wearable clothing waste, revealing that 19% to 91% of this feedstock can be reclaimed through reconstruction, fibre-to-fibre recycling, or upcycling.
From mapping out viable recycling pathways across 15 Asia-Pacific countries to showcasing the details of closed-loop prototyping pilots— hydrothermal separation, cutting and sewing, resin molding—and a study on nonwoven applications, this guide provides practical knowledge for stakeholders to kickstart their clothing recycling journey. Finally, the guide provides actionable recommendations for brands, retailers, recyclers, and government bodies, to drive regional circularity.
We invite you to download the full report (available in English, with Traditional & Simplified Chinese coming soon) to discover how we can all work towards a circular future for fashion.
