Company Activities

Clothing Sorting Session

An estimated 402 tonnes of textile are sent to landfills daily in Hong Kong. Through Redress’ Clothing collection Programme, unwanted clothing from Hong Kong consumers are collected and sorted with the aim to maximise the value of each item.

These sorting sessions are a fantastic way of engaging your colleagues or students in a charitable initiative that directly benefits the local community and the environment. Your team will gain an understanding of the scale of clothing waste in Hong Kong, while supporting the careful redistribution of collected clothing.

Sharing Session

Do you know the story behind your clothes? Inspire and empower your peers by joining Redress for an eye-opening one-hour session to explore the true cost of fashion. From manufacturing to disposal, we’ll break down the impact of every stage of the fashion lifecycle.

Discover with us why clothing waste is a growing problem and how we can shift towards circular fashion. Through engaging quizzes and Q&A, the audience will gain the tools to reflect on their own choices and start meaningful change.

The Denim Challenge

Collaborate with your team to explore the landscape of denim manufacturing, where every decision – from materials and processes to supply chains – affects our environment. By stepping into the shoes of various stakeholders, you’ll face the tough reality of balancing economic goals and ecological responsibility.

Through making choices that directly impact the planet, players develop a deeper understanding of the urgent need to rethink apparel production and consumption.

Upcycling Workshop

Over recent decades, many of the practical skills needed to adapt clothing have been lost. As a result, large volumes of wearable garments are discarded each year, contributing to unnecessary textile waste. Relearning these skills is key to extending the life of clothing.

A Redress Design Award alumni fashion designer will lead an upcycling workshop that reconnects participants with these essential skills. Participants will learn practical skills to create new items from textile waste. The workshop will be held in your offices.

  • 1 – 1.5 hours per session
  • In Cantonese or English
  • 10 – 15 participants
  • Facilitated by Alumni of Redress Design Award, in-person only

GET REDRESSED MONTH

Since 2018, Get Redressed Month has been Hong Kong’s largest circular fashion awareness campaign. Each May, it hosts engaging activities for companies, schools, organisations, and individuals, all aimed at reducing fashion waste and shifting attitudes toward more sustainable clothing consumption.

What you can do throughout the month:

  • Organise a Clothing Drive
  • Join Sort-a-Thon
