Redress hosts educational experience at denim factory for students

Did you know that producing a single pair of jeans requires approximately 7,500 litres of water—equivalent to one person’s drinking water for seven years*?

To support our mission in educating emerging fashion designers to drive the change toward a circular fashion industry, we hosted Hong Kong students from all backgrounds for an educational experience at leading denim factories in Guangdong, China, operated by Crystal International Group Limited and Advance Denim. The tour allowed students to engage with industry leaders to learn about innovative techniques for sustainable denim production, discover groundbreaking sustainable practices that are reshaping the fashion industry, and see firsthand how leading denim manufacturers operate — all to inspire them to join the fight towards a more sustainable future for fashion.

Alongside the students, we invited local Instagram influencers Elin Fu and Anisha Thai to join us, and to share their discoveries from the trip with their followers. Check out Anisha’s post here and stay tuned for Elin’s reel!

This educational experience is just the beginning. Stay tuned for more opportunities to learn with Redress!
