‘Redressing the Lion Dance’ weaves fashion, culture, and sustainability

Join us in ‘Redressing the Lion Dance’! We’re merging Hong Kong’s intangible cultural heritage with fashion sustainability in collaboration with Ha Kwok Cheung, a longstanding dragon and lion dance team with 90+ years of history in Hong Kong. Thanks also to the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for their funding support.

Redressing the Lion Dance Exhibition

We selected two local Hong Kong design talents, Pearl Leung of Pearl Leung Style and Eric Wong of Absurd Laboratory, to each design a lion dance showpiece upcycled from unwearable post-consumer textiles from our Clothing Collection Programme. Their designs, which debuted at an inaugural performance at Hong Kong Fashion Fest in November, will be shown at the exhibition alongside two other lion heads made by Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) students.

  • Venue: Peak Galleria, 1/F Atrium
  • Dates: 18–27 December 2025

Hong Kong Sustainable Fashion Pop-up

Alongside the lion dance exhibition, step into a world where heritage meets innovation featuring seven local Hong Kong-based designers: Linda Morrison, Mandy Fong, Hoiki Liu, Jasmine Leung, Yeung Chin, Pearl Leung, and Eric Wong.

  • Venue: Peak Galleria, 2/F Shop 220
  • Dates: 18–27 December 2025
  • Opening Hours: 12–7pm

Free Upcycling Workshops

Discover how cultural fusion and material experimentation come together to create unique, meaningful pieces. These workshops, held in the Sustainable Fashion Popup at the Peak Galleria (see above) offer a hands-on chance to craft your own story while embracing eco-friendly fashion, and are led by local sustainable Hong Kong fashion designers.

Each workshop is limited to 10 participants only, first come first served. Workshops last one hour; drop in anytime during this time frame.
